Like its under communist party ruling counterparts, everything in China is a lie. From the elementary school students’ textbooks to the numbers government announce. I have been aware of that since I was in the elementary school. In the class, the teachers taught us to be a person with high moral standard, but they implied gifts before every new year holiday and teacher’s day. And they know every student’s parents’ job and title, those kids whose parents are governors or have big business will have special attention. For easily control the class, they encouraged students reporting each other, just like people did during the cultural revolution.
As the elapse of time, I got internet which broadened my acknowledge, but at the same time, I had more questions. Since Xi Jinping took the power, they haven’t had the bottom line, he turned China his own regime. He doesn’t only deny the online censorship, but also deploys stricter rules putting more foreign websites into the blacklists, and sets up the domestic online monitor system. Several people have been put in jail due to the content they posted on social media or forums. Ironically, the first email from China is
Across the Great Wall, we can reach every corner in the world.
Now they built a new Great Wall to isolate themselves from the rest of the world.
Several years ago, I moved to another old city in Southwest China, I met the Christian brother and the old American Missionary. In there, I learned the basic knowledge of Christianity. I also experienced the Party’s fear of the mass gathering events, as well as their hostility to the religions that will weaken their authority in people’s hearts.
